EV Audi has been actively developing and releasing electric vehicles (EVs) as part of its strategy to transition to sustainable mobility. Audi had already launched several electric models and had plans to expand its EV lineup in the future. Here are some notable electric vehicles from Audi:

Audi E Tron

What is e-tron?

e-tron is the name of the Audi fully electric, model lineup. Audi e-tron models deliver progress you can feel: engaging performance, sophisticated design, and intuitive technology—all while offering innovation, comfort, and efficiency.

The most charming element of the Audi e-tron and the sleeker e-tron Sportback is that it’s not visually obvious that these luxury SUVs are fully electric. Both models share an all-wheel-drive powertrain that generates 355 horsepower with an EPA-estimated range of as much as 222 miles (or 218 miles for e-tron Sportback). In Sport mode, the e-tron can even produce as much as 402 horsepower, but only for a moment. It’s styled like typical SUVs, with stylish wheels, LED head- and taillights, and unlike the Tesla Model X or Ford Mustang Mach-E, the e-tron wears a traditional grille on its front bumper. The e-tron’s 150-kW fast-charger can recharge the battery up to 80 percent in about 30 minutes, and adapters, cables, or small groceries can all be conveniently stored in the frunk. For the e-tron, familiarity and comfort take priority over maximum driving range, producing an experience that’s more luxurious than flamboyant.

What’s New for 2023?

Audi makes mild changes to e-tron and e-tron Sportback trims for 2023. Black headliner is now standard on base Sportback SUVs. For e-tron Sportback Prestige trims, new standard equipment includes 22-inch five-spoke wheels, orange front and rear brake calipers, rear side airbags, Audi’s Matrix-design headlights, and the Black Optic exterior package. Both e-tron S and e-tron Sportback S get carbon square inlays and the LED interior lighting package as standard, while Prestige trim levels of those SUVs now get Audi’s Matrix-design headlights.

We like the price point of the entry-level Premium trim level, and pairing it with the sleeker Sportback helps the e-tron garner more attention. This combination benefits from upscale standard features such as 20-inch wheels, blind-spot monitoring, heated front seats, four-zone climate control, leather upholstery, and a panoramic sunroof. We’d add even more desirable equipment with the optional Convenience Plus package that brings black exterior trim, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and a 360-degree camera system. We’d also opt for the Tow package to utilize the e-tron’s 4000-pound towing capacity.

Pricing and Which One to Buy

EV Motor, Power, and Performance

Beneath the e-tron’s heavily creased bodywork are two electric motors, one located at the front axle and the other at the rear. Together they provide electronic all-wheel drive, but the rear motor does most of the work. In regular driving situations, they make a combined 355 horsepower and 414 pound-feet of torque. However, putting the transmission in Sport mode briefly unlocks 402 ponies and 490 pound-feet. Our driving impressions revealed that the e-tron was swift and composed. Its snappy acceleration is typical of electric vehicles, and the smooth and quiet ride quality confirmed its luxury bona fides. Its stopping system expertly blended its traditional brakes with the obligatory regenerative braking system. However, we were disappointed that its regen wasn’t aggressive enough to enable one-pedal driving during our test of the Sportback model. Still, the e-tron demonstrates traditional SUV characteristics with the ability to tow up to 4000 pounds. The more powerful e-tron S and e-tron Sportback S boosts output to 496 horsepower and 718 pound-feet of torque. That’s possible via its triple motors, and while we haven’t tested it yet, Audi estimates it can arrive at 60 mph a full second sooner than non-S e-trons.

The Audi e-tron is an all-electric SUV produced by Audi. It represents Audi’s first fully electric production model and was introduced in 2018. The e-tron combines Audi’s luxury and performance with electric mobility. Here are some key features of the Audi e-tron:

5. Technology and Features: The e-tron comes with various advanced features, including Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster, a large touchscreen infotainment system, connectivity options, and driver assistance systems.
6. Charging Infrastructure: Audi provides access to the e-tron Charging Service, which allows owners to charge their vehicles at various public charging stations across Europe. The service simplifies payment and provides access to a vast network of charging points.

Audi E Tron GT

Overview

Electrons, motors, battery packs, and kilowatts have added a host of new words to the automotive lexicon, but when it comes to the Audi e-tron GT EV, the vocabulary is simple: this thing is fun! A platform-mate to the impressive Porsche Taycan, the e-tron GT delivers a calm ride and frenetic acceleration. With a motor at each axle, the combined output starts at 522 horsepower and rises to as much as 637 in the most powerful RS e-tron GT model. We managed 240 miles of highway range with the RS e-tron GT during testing, which isn’t brag-worthy in a segment that contains the Tesla Model S. The e Tron GT does offer some compensation for its merely average range thanks to its 270-kW DC fast charger, which makes it one of the quickest charging EVs sold today. Its standard interior is made from recycled leather-free materials but its low roof and narrow cockpit make getting in and out a challenge for rear-seat riders. Audi’s quickest EV is exciting to drive and great to look at but EVs with more range like the Tesla Model S make a better argument for living with all-electric transportation.

2022 Audi q4 E Tron

Overview

Audi has big aspirations in the luxury electric-vehicle space, Audi SUV Electric and the 2022 Audi Q4 E Tron and Q4 e-tron Sportback SUVs have doubled the size of the company’s EV-centric e-tron lineup. Smaller than the mid-size e-tron SUV, the Q4 siblings sit on a footprint similar to the compact Q5 crossover. All versions get a 77.0-kW battery pack and a 295-hp dual-motor setup with all-wheel drive. Acceleration is adequate but lacks the punch of power that we have grown to expect from EVs. for the 2022 audi e-tron SUV The driving range is good though, as the battery pack delivers 241 miles of driving range per charge. 2023 Audi Q5

As Audi’s best selling vechine in the United States, the Q5 is in many ways the face of the brand. This luxury compact crossover shows Audi’s approach to styling, technology, and all-wheel-drive performance. The original Q5 went on sale for 2009, and the current second-generation Q5 hit the scene for 2018. The Q5 Sportback is its more style-focused counterpart.

A few meaningful features are added to the Q5 for 2023. Note, however, that ongoing supply chain constraints may make it difficult to find certain features or configurations. Ask your Audi dealer for details.

The Audi Q5 provides a remarkably, appreciably balanced experience. As such it impresses in many areas, but it doesn’t necessarily excite.

First and foremost, the Q5 presents a luxurious impression. Its tailored, concise exterior styling is subdued and modern. The quiet, comfortable, high-tech interior is difficult to fault. Upscale features abound; heated rear seats, multi-color ambient interior lighting, animated LED headlights and taillights, and a 19-speaker audio system are all on offer. The addition of adaptive cruise control for 2023 is more than welcome.

The Q5’s overall quality, features, and comfort makes it enjoyable to drive, but the SUV lacks excitement. Although it’s quick and composed thanks to its standard Quattro AWD system, some of its competitors are more fun to drive. Even though the SQ5 adds a healthy dose of power, its transmission can’t quite keep up.

Even so, those who prioritize comfort, design, and quality over speed will find it in the Audi Q5. The Q5 Sportback takes those appealing attributes and wraps them in a sleeker package.

Performance and Fuel Economy

Every Q5 is equipped with Audi’s Quattro AWD system. The basic engine, indicated by a 40 TFSI badge, is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder that makes 201 hp and 263 lb-ft of torque. It’s joined to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Audi estimates a 6.8-second 0-60-mph time and a 23/29 mpg city/highway fuel economy rating.

Models marked with a 45 TFSI badge have a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder aided by a 12-volt mild hybrid system. It produces 261 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque, which is likewise sent through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Acceleration from 0 to 60 mph takes 5.7 seconds, according to our testing. Fuel economy for the 2023 Q5 45 TFSI should be similar to last year, when it got 23/29 mpg city/highway.

2022 Audi A7

Four-door fastback coupe  aren’t for every driver. But if you’re after one of the best, the Audi A7 is up there. The A7 represents a compelling sedan alternative, combining the luxury and technology Audis are known for with a surprisingly spacious cargo area—and elegant exterior styling.

This second-generation A7 went on sale for the 2019 model year. Currently, plug-in hybrid and high-performance variants are offered alongside the standard model.

What We Think

Following a fad often comes with compromises, but the A7 has few. As a four-door fastback, it’s not a conventional solution like a sedan or SUV is, and that’s exactly the point. Depending on your needs, it may be better than either.

Against your average four-door, the A7’s hatchback cargo area provides lots of useful space. Compared to most SUVs, its lower height results in better driving dynamics. Next to either, the A7’s stunning styling makes it stand out. Its interior is truly luxurious, combining fine appointments and cutting-edge tech in equal measure.

So what about compromises? The larger interior volume seems to result in an amplification of noise compared to Audi’s A6 sedan. For as nicely as it drives, the standard V-6-powered car rides too softly and has an overeager accelerator. For drivers who find eagerness appealing, the S7 and RS7 provide awesome acceleration.

Comfortable, practical, luxurious, and stylish, the Audi A7 shows that following a fad can be a great decision. It’s an excellent example of a four-door fastback.
